Summer Hours: Monday to Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Sunday 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Fall-Winter-Spring Hours: Monday to Saturday from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Appointments with Archivist are recommended. To confirm hours, please phone the Archives at (902) 742-5539. Services Offered When researching any aspect of Yarmouth County's rich history, the archives is the first place to visit. Archivist Stuart McLean and our staff and volunteers will help researchers of all levels of experience. Some of the services available include: Research-By-Mail: If you are unable to visit in person, we offer a Research By-Mail service. The current fee is $20.00 per hour, or $20.00 US per hour for foreign requests. Genealogical Charts & Forms: Census Forms, Family Tree Kits, etc. are available for a fee from the archives. Historic Photographs: Reprints from our photographic collection are available. Orders take approximately three weeks for delivery. High-speed Internet Terminal: The research centre has one public use computer available for all of your researching needs. Latter Day Saints Family History Library: The Latter Day Saints Library in Utah has an extensive collection of original records on microfiche and microfilm. These can be ordered on 30-day loan for $7.00 each. In addition, the archives offers access to LDS databases, such as the International Genealogical Index, the US Social Security Index, etc. via two public use computers located in the search room.
