Branch libraries are located in Barrington Passage, Clark's Harbour, Digby, Lockeport, Meteghan, Pubnico, Shelburne, Westport, Weymouth and Yarmouth. Headquarters is located in Yarmouth. Hours of service vary from branch to branch. Please check branch hours and location on our website. Genealogy Resources Records are found principally at Yarmouth, Digby and Shelburne branch libraries. Most records must be used in the library so please contact the branch library first if you are planning to do research and staff can arrange to bring in records from other branch libraries to be used in-house. Temporary library membership cards are available to all Canadian residents free of charge and to all non-Canadian residents for a monthly fee of $5.00. There are charges for photocopies and microfiche print-outs. There is no charge for Internet use. Patrons are expected to do their own research but staff is available to provide assistance. All our branches have internet access and photocopy services. Yarmouth, Digby, Shelburne and Barrington have microfilm readers and printers. Records available include: Cemetery records, Census, Church Registers, Deeds, Directories, Family Histories, Genealogy Handbooks & Manuals, Land Grants, Newspapers, Parish Directories, Vital Statistics and School Yearbooks.
