Research your ancestry in our Research and genealogy center. The Research center is located in the annex of the Musée acadien in West Pubnico. The center has acquired a large collection of documents on Acadian history from historian Father Clarence d'Entremont. The Research Center houses a collection of genealogical documents on most of the local family names, original land deeds, complete set of local French newspaper, old photographs, diaries and local stories, correspondences, Fond Désiré d'Eon, founder of Nova Scotia's only French newspaper Le Petit Courrier, now Le Courrier de la Nouvelle-Écosse, Fond H. Léander d'Entremont and other smaller fonds. Included in the center’s library are 5000 books and periodicals and also microfilms. Archives recognized by UNESCO.
